ATC (syasya’s version) - a new version of me!!!
Hi guys!!! I’m syasya (if u know me, that’s good for u)….this is, in fact, my first time blogging in months so yea here I am back!! I realised that my experience in ATC was just slightly different than my squadmates’ ones since we were in different groups, so here is my experience below:
Okay Persephone and our lovely Ma’ams (mostly our NCOs) who are reading this blog, idk if y’all are tired hearing me say “I’m not comfortable with the boys…the boys are so bad….” Blah blah blah… but during ATC, I never thought the boys were this bad. For once, somehow, I just got comfortable with the boys in my group coz they aren’t as goofy as I thought they would be, and for some reason, I actually miss them, as well as other of my group mates. Yes, although they can be quite annoying at times, but they were able to make me laugh for the first time in ATC, and I thought I would never have fun. They play a huge part in making my ATC experience a very good one. Huge thanks to Dunman High, Bendemeer and St. Andrew Cadets in my group for helping me face one of my biggest fear - singing in front of many people.
Now away from the boys. As for my group, I feel like we’re being favoured a lot by my GIs (group instructors)(no hate to other groups). Unlike other groups which were getting ‘advised’ by their GIs for doing something wrong, i feel like my group was able to get things done quickly and correctly. I guess one moment which shows my GIs really favoured us than others was when Sir (my GI) just asked us to enter the canteen, while others need to ask permission…so sorry…
Now let’s put that biasness aside, other schools are now following cedar’s way?? At first, we decide to follow Dunman’s way of asking permission, which is “up 2,3, permission to ….”. After a while, everyone realised that that method of asking permission is not so suitable, as not everyone knows what to ask. In the end and throughout the entire camp, everyone, including Dunman High, uses it!! What a surprise right?? Not only that, the fact that only cedar knows how to do Tent Pitching totally came to our surprise, and because of that, we reached our group mates how to pitch the tents. During campfire, you don’t know how much i am actually grateful for the AC last year. Becoz of AC last year, I was able to know ALL the cheers during campfire while other schools were a bit lost.
Turns out ATC wasn’t that bad after all… the activities there were engaging… the people there were amazing although some were… questionable tho… before leaving the campsite, my group was able to get each other’s contacts, including our GIs!! Now what happen??? Late night, my group mates be spamming messages in our ATC Group chat but I’m going to be honest, I really enjoy their company. Although we were quite happy that ATC is over, I kinda miss it…
Wait I still got holiday hw not done yet…I gotta do it now…bye bye love y’all 💕
